Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also sings. She was the first woman of her generation to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka is the emerging star of Indian sitar. She is the student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982. During during her early years, she swam her time between London New Delhi. At the age of 13 she staged her first performance in New Delhi. At the age of 13, she finished her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still a young woman, however she's got an remarkable career in the field of singing and recording. She regularly performs with her dad and has done so for quite a number of years. She released her first solo album Anourag in the year 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nominated album Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. Her career on stage is broad as she's performed in most of the world's major venues. In the end, The House of Commons Shield was awarded an award from the British Parliament as the pre-eminent Asian Arts musician. She is the only female and youngest recipient of the prize.
